⚡ Quick answer
Get the Lush 4 ($129) for the longest battery (up to 350 minutes) and the longest range. Get the Lush Mini ($129) if a smaller, lighter egg fits you better. Get the Lush 3 ($119) to save $10 if you mostly play over the internet. Skip the discontinued Lush 2.
The Lush is the toy I get asked about most. I've compared every version spec by spec, using Lovense's published figures and a lot of Reddit threads, and the right one depends on how you plan to use it.
Quick verdict: who should buy which
Buy the Lush 4 if you want the longest battery (up to 350 minutes), the longest range and the LED tail. Buy the Lush Mini if you want a narrower (31 mm) and lighter (58 g) egg with the same app features, and can live with a shorter battery. Buy the Lush 3 if you want to save $10 and mostly play over the internet, where Bluetooth range doesn't matter. Skip the Lush 2 : it's discontinued and Lovense no longer sells it.

Lush 4: the top-scored Lush
Lovense Lush 4
On paper the step from the Lush 3 to the Lush 4 looks small. In practice the range and the battery change: Lovense gives the Lush 4 up to 105 m outdoors against 75 m, and up to 350 minutes against 220. Bluetooth dropouts at range are the Lush 3's most common complaint from buyers, and the longer range is the answer to it. For internet control over long distance, Bluetooth range doesn't matter at all.
The other change is the shape. The Lush 4's egg curves toward the G-spot and its tail is fixed and pre-curved, which is what keeps it from shifting when you walk; buyers rate its comfort 4.7/5. For public wear, staying put matters more than anything else.
What the Lush 4 improved over the Lush 3
- Longer range: up to 105 m outdoors against 75 m (Lovense)
- Up to 350 minutes of battery against 220, and a 45-minute full charge against 80
- A curved egg and fixed tail that stay in place when you move
- A little quieter: 36 dB at the lowest setting against 38 dB
- An LED tail, which the Lush 3 doesn't have
Any downsides?
- $10 more than the Lush 3 ($129 against $119)
- Buyers rate the Lush 3 slightly higher for comfort (4.8/5 against 4.7/5), and the curve doesn't suit everyone
Best For
If you're not sure which Lush to get, get the Lush 4: it has the longest battery and range of the three. The main reason to choose differently is fit. The Lush Mini costs the same, with a narrower, lighter egg and a shorter battery.
Lush Mini: smaller and lighter
Lovense Lush Mini
The Lush Mini gets dismissed because of its name, as if a smaller Lush had to be cheaper or weaker. It costs the same as the Lush 4 and has the same Bluetooth 5.0 and app features; what changes is the body. The egg is 31 mm across instead of 37 mm and the toy weighs 58 g instead of 75 g, while the insertable length barely changes (74 mm against 76 mm). Buyers rate its vibration 5.0/5, like the Lush 4's. The trade-offs are a shorter battery (63 to 236 minutes against up to 350) and a slightly shorter range (93 m against 105 m). It's built for people who want something that fits and stays comfortable for hours, not for the longest sessions.
Lush Mini vs Lush 4: the differences
- Narrower egg: 31 mm across against 37 mm, with almost the same insertable length (74 mm against 76 mm)
- Same Bluetooth 5.0, with a slightly shorter range (93 m against 105 m outdoors)
- Same app features
- Lighter (58 g against 75 g), so you notice it less over long wear
- Easier for beginners because of its smaller size
Trade-offs
- Shorter range: 93 m against 105 m outdoors (Lovense)
- Shorter battery: up to about 4 hours against about 5.8
- Same price as the Lush 4, so no saving
Best For
Anyone who finds wearable toys uncomfortable, or who found the standard Lush too full. It's also a sensible first Lovense toy if you're unsure about size. If long sessions matter most, the Lush 4 is the better choice at the same price.
Lush 3: the cheapest current Lush
Lovense Lush 3
The Lush 3 still does its job. Its weak point is range: Lovense gives it up to 75 m outdoors against 105 m for the Lush 4, and Bluetooth dropouts at range are its most common complaint from buyers. If your partner holds the app across a restaurant, that's where you'll feel it. For long-distance play over the internet, though, Bluetooth range doesn't matter: the app relays control on any Lovense model, whatever the distance.
At $10 less than the Lush 4, the Lush 3 is less a budget choice than a trade-off. I'd still point most people to the Lush 4, but buyers rate the Lush 3 slightly higher for comfort (4.8/5 against 4.7/5), and some prefer its shape to the Lush 4's curve. If the older shape suits you, the Lush 3 may be the better fit whatever the price.
Where the Lush 3 still does well
- The full Lovense Remote app, with the same features as the Lush 4
- A motor buyers rate 5.0/5, with years of use behind it
- Some buyers prefer its shape to the Lush 4's curve (comfort 4.8/5 against 4.7/5)
- $10 cheaper than the Lush 4 and Lush Mini
- The same internet long-distance control as the others
Where it falls behind
- Shorter range: up to 75 m outdoors against 105 m (Lush 4) and 93 m (Mini)
- A little louder: 38 dB at the lowest setting against 36 dB
- No LED and no rapid charge
- Shorter battery: up to 220 minutes (about 3.7 hours) against 350, and an 80-minute charge
Best For
Long-distance couples who play mostly over the internet, where the range difference doesn't show, and anyone who prefers its shape or wants to save $10. It's an older toy, not a bad one; it just suits in-person play at range less well.
Lush 2: discontinued
Lovense Lush 2 (Discontinued)
The Lush 2 was an earlier version of the same idea: Bluetooth control, long-distance play through the app and body-safe silicone in a discreet egg. It has since been replaced twice, and Lovense no longer sells it.
Lovense no longer lists its specs, and it predates the range and battery improvements of the Lush 3 and Lush 4.
⚠️ Why not to buy a used Lush 2
Silicone toys shouldn't be bought second-hand, because they can't be fully sterilised between users, and the Lush 2 no longer has Lovense warranty support. If you see one for resale, a new Lush 3 at $119 with its 1-year warranty is the better buy.
What changed with each generation
The Lush has had four versions so far, each fixing something in the one before:
The earlier app-controlled wearable egg. Discontinued; don't buy one used.
Up to 220 minutes of battery (about 3.7 hours), a range Lovense gives as up to 75 m outdoors and a motor buyers rate 5.0/5, in the egg-and-tail shape.
Bluetooth 5.0 and up to 105 m of range outdoors, up to 350 minutes of battery (about 5.8 hours) with a 45-minute charge, a curved egg with a fixed tail that stays in place, an LED tail and a slightly quieter motor (36 dB against 38 dB at the lowest setting).
A smaller version next to the Lush 4 rather than a successor: the same Bluetooth 5.0 and app features in a 31 mm, 58 g egg, with a shorter battery (63 to 236 minutes). It's meant for people the standard Lush doesn't fit.
Who should buy which model
✅ Buy the Lush 4 if…
- You want the top-scored Lush (8.8/10)
- You use it for in-person wearable play and need reliable Bluetooth range
- Battery matters: you want the longest sessions (up to 350 minutes)
- Quietness is important for discreet public wear
- You are upgrading from a Lush 2 or Lush 3
✅ Buy the Lush Mini if…
- You are a first-time toy user and want a comfortable introduction
- You are petite or found the Lush 4 too large
- You prioritize all-day comfort over maximum intensity
- You still want Bluetooth 5.0, like the Lush 4
- Lighter weight and smaller size matter more than peak power
✅ Buy the Lush 3 if…
- Budget is the primary factor and you want to save $10
- You primarily use it for long-distance play (Bluetooth range is irrelevant)
- You prefer the Lush 3's shape to the Lush 4's curve
- You already own a Lush 3 and like it; there's no urgent reason to upgrade
❌ Skip the Lush 2
- It is discontinued and not available from Lovense
- The Lush 3 ($119) replaces it
- Don't buy used sex toys: it's a hygiene risk
- No warranty or support from Lovense
- It predates the range and battery improvements of the newer models

Which Lush for your use
The table gives the specs; this section matches them to how you'll use the toy.
For long-distance couples
Lush 4. Its battery, up to 350 minutes, is what sets it apart for long-distance play: you start a session without wondering whether it will last.
It charges fully in 45 minutes, and 5 minutes gives about an hour of play, so a second session the same evening is easy. The Lush 3 takes 80 minutes and has no rapid charge.
Over the internet, all three use the same Lovense Remote connection, so the range difference only matters between the toy and the phone it's paired with.
For cam models and streaming
Lush 4, mainly for the battery and the LED tail. The multicolour lights show on camera, so viewers can see the toy react to their tips, and the lights are what Lush 4 buyers write about most.
Charging is the other reason: 45 minutes to full against 80 for the Lush 3, plus a 5-minute rapid charge for about an hour of play between streams.
The Lush 3 has no LED. The Lush Mini has LED lights you can switch on or off in the app and is quiet enough for cam work, but its shorter battery makes the Lush 4 the better choice for long shifts.
For comfort and long wear
Lush Mini. Its narrower egg and lower weight (58 g against 75 g for the Lush 4) make it the easiest to wear for long stretches while walking, sitting or working. Buyers rate its wearability 5.0/5 and often say they forget it's there.
The Lush 4 is comfortable for most people, but its bigger egg is more noticeable over long wear. If comfort comes first, the Mini is the one.
For beginners with insertable toys
Lush Mini. The smaller egg takes some of the worry out of a first insertable toy, and you get the same long-distance control and app as the Lush 4 in a less intimidating body. Buyers rate its vibration 5.0/5, like the Lush 4's, and its wearability 5.0/5.
Value: what the extra $10 buys
The Lush 3 at $119 is $10 less than the Lush 4 and the Lush Mini, both $129. Over the Lush 3, the extra $10 buys the LED tail, a much longer battery, faster charging and a longer range. For daily long-distance use or cam work that's easily worth it; for occasional use, the Lush 3 does the job.
What each Lush feels like
Lush 4: deep vibration and a shape that stays put
Buyers describe the Lush 4's vibration as deep and rumbly rather than buzzy, which matters for the G-spot: lower-frequency vibration is felt further in, while a high-pitched buzz stays at the surface. They rate its vibration 5.0/5.
The curved egg sits against the G-spot when it's in properly, and the fixed tail keeps it there when you move, so it rarely needs repositioning.
Real buyers: "The vibration quality is unlike any other toy I've owned. Deep, not buzzy, and I feel it exactly where I want it." And: "The near-6 hours is real. I've done 5-hour sessions and still had battery left."
Lush Mini: compact, and stronger than its size suggests
Buyers who expected a smaller toy to be weaker are often surprised: they rate the Mini's vibration 5.0/5, the same as the Lush 4's, and some describe it as 'more intense per surface area' because the egg is smaller.
The weight difference shows from the first wear: at 58 g the Mini is less present, and many buyers say they forget they're wearing it.
Buyers: "I was worried about power in the mini version. There is absolutely no compromise — it vibrates as powerfully as my previous Lush 3."
Lush 3: the older standard, still a good toy
The Lush 3 was Lovense's main wearable before the Lush 4 and still scores 8.3/10 on my grid. Buyers rate its comfort 4.8/5, slightly above the Lush 4's 4.7/5, because some find its shape more comfortable.
Its shorter Bluetooth range shows when the phone is across a room, not over the internet, so for long-distance play on a stable connection it behaves like the Lush 4. The shorter battery is the bigger limit.
Long-distance setup for the Lush series
The Lush 3, Lush 4 and Lush Mini all set up the same way:
- Both partners download Lovense Remote (free, iOS and Android), and the toy's owner creates an account.
- Switch the Lush on (hold the button for 3 seconds), then tap "+" in the app and select your Lush to pair it.
- Open the toy's control-sharing option, set a time limit and copy the link.
- Send the link to your partner, who opens it on their phone and controls the toy from anywhere with internet.
- Optional: if he has a Max 2, both toys can run in the same app, each controlled separately (two-way sync is a Nora and Max 2 feature).
Pairing works the same on all three; the Lush 4's longer range only helps when the phone is farther from the toy.
Lush for cam models: which one and why
Cam work asks different things of the toy. In order of importance:
- LED lights: the Lush 4's multicolour LED tail shows on camera, so viewers can see the toy react to their tips. The Lush Mini has LED lights too; the Lush 3 has none.
- Battery for long streams: up to about 5.8 hours on the Lush 4, against about 4 on the Lush Mini and 3.7 on the Lush 3, so the Lush 4 is the one that lasts a long stream without charging; for longer ones, its rapid charge helps during breaks.
- Charging: the Lush 4 charges fully in 45 minutes and the Lush Mini in 40, both with a rapid charge; the Lush 3 takes 80 minutes and has none.
- Chaturbate integration: the same on all three: tip amounts trigger patterns in the same way.
For cam work: the Lush 4. The Lush 3 works, but the Lush 4's battery, LED and charging matter for streaming, and the Lush Mini suits shorter shows.
Care, charging and longevity
Cleaning
All three are IPX7. Rinse with warm water and mild soap after each use, dry the toy before charging and store it in a clean pouch, since silicone attracts lint and dust.
Battery management
Like any lithium battery, it slowly loses capacity over the years. Topping it up after each session rather than running it flat is easier on the battery.
The Lush 4's rapid charge is meant for short top-ups between sessions: 5 minutes gives about an hour of play.
Lubricant
Use water-based lubricant only, since silicone lubricant can damage silicone surfaces over time. Use plenty for insertion and add more if you feel friction.
What the community says
On r/LDR, r/sex_toys and in lovense.com's verified reviews, the Lush comes up more than any other toy for long-distance play. A few patterns:
"If you're going long-distance, the Lush 4 is non-negotiable. The battery alone justifies the price over the Lush 3."
"I bought the Lush Mini specifically for comfort during extended wear. Best decision — I genuinely forget it's there."
"The Lush 3 is still a 9/10 toy. I'm not upgrading to Lush 4 because the $10 premium doesn't change my actual use case."
"As a cam model, the Lush 4's LED was the upgrade I didn't know I needed. Viewers actually comment on the colour change."
The most common regret comes from heavy users who started with the Lush 3 and wish they'd bought the Lush 4. Daily Lush 4 users rarely say the same about their choice.

Take the Quiz →Should I upgrade from Lush 3 to Lush 4?
If you use it daily or for streaming, yes: the battery, rapid charge and LED matter with heavy use. If you use it once or twice a week for long-distance play, the Lush 3 does the job and saves $10.
Is the Lush Mini significantly smaller than Lush 4?
Noticeably smaller and lighter: 58 g against 75 g, with a 31 mm egg against 37 mm and almost the same insertable length (74 mm against 76 mm). In wear, you feel it as less presence.
Can I use the Lush in water?
Yes. All three are IPX7, submersible to 1 m for 30 minutes, so the shower and bath are fine. Bluetooth doesn't travel well through water, though, so keep the phone close.
Do all Lush models connect to the same app?
Yes. All three use Lovense Remote, so if you upgrade, your account and patterns carry over; you just pair the new toy.
What's the best Lush for travel?
The Lush Mini: the smallest and lightest, with the highest wearability rating from buyers (5.0/5). It fits easily in a toiletry bag and charges from any USB port.
Is the Lush 4 LED visible through clothing?
In dim light and up close, the glow can show through thin fabric; under normal clothes in normal light it doesn't. You can also switch the lights off in the app.
Can I control someone else's Lush from a different country?
Yes, that's what most people buy it for. The toy's owner creates a control link in Lovense Remote and sends it in any messaging app; the partner opens it and controls the toy from anywhere with internet.
Which Lush for which lifestyle
The student in a long-distance relationship
If budget matters, the Lush 3 ($119): full long-distance control, a range that's fine at home and $10 less than the Lush 4.
The cam model
The Lush 4: the longest battery, the LED tail and a rapid charge between shows. Chaturbate integration works the same on every Lush.
The frequent traveller
The Lush Mini: the lightest and smallest, buyers rate its wearability 5.0/5, and it charges from any USB port.
The daily long-distance user (3+ sessions a week)
The Lush 4. At this pace the battery (up to 350 minutes) and the 45-minute charge, against 80 for the Lush 3, make a daily difference.
Specs worth knowing
Bluetooth range: Lovense gives up to 105 m outdoors for the Lush 4, 93 m for the Lush Mini and 75 m for the Lush 3. Indoors, through walls and your body, the real range is much shorter, so keep the phone fairly close.
Charge time: 45 minutes for the Lush 4, 40 for the Lush Mini and 80 for the Lush 3, per lovense.com.
Vibration: buyers rate all three 5.0/5, so power doesn't separate them; noise does a little (36 dB minimum for the Lush 4 and Mini, 38 dB for the Lush 3).
IPX7 on all three: fine in the shower and bath, and all can be rinsed under the tap.
Every one of these specs in one table (battery, noise, size, app and price): the full Lush spec comparison →
Can I use the Lush 4 charging cable on Lush 3?
Lovense toys charge on Lovense's own magnetic USB cables. Many models share a cable, but not all, so keep each toy's cable with it.
Does the Lush 4 LED drain battery faster?
Lovense doesn't publish a separate figure for the lights. If you want to save battery, switch them off in the app.
Cost per session
Spread over two or three years of regular use:
At three sessions a week, the Lush 4 ($129) comes to about $0.41 a session over two years (312 sessions) and $0.28 over three. The Lush 3 ($119) saves $10 up front, about 3 cents a session over two years.
The Lush Mini costs the same $129 as the Lush 4, so the choice between them is about size and comfort, not price. A comfort-first buyer gets the same value in a smaller body; a cam model or frequent long-distance user gets more out of the Lush 4's longer battery.
Can I trade in my Lush 3 when upgrading to Lush 4?
No official trade-in program. Adult toys have minimal resale value for hygiene reasons. Budget the upgrade as a new purchase rather than expecting credit for the previous toy.
Does Lush 4 run Lush 3 patterns?
Yes. Patterns you create in Lovense Remote work across compatible Lovense toys, so a library built on a Lush 3 carries over to a Lush 4.
Is the Lush 4 the last Lush generation?
Lovense hasn't announced a Lush 5. The Lush 4 is the current model in 2026, and older models such as the Lush 3 still work in the app, so there's little reason to wait.
I often get the same question by email: "I can only afford one, which one?" All three are good enough that you won't regret any of them. If you're in a long-distance relationship and the thought of the battery dying mid-session, with your partner on the other side of the world, bothers you, the Lush 4 is worth the extra $10 over the Lush 3. If you've never used an insertable toy, the Mini's wearability rating (5.0/5 from verified buyers) says something real about how it fits. The Lush 3 still earns its place at 8.3/10, fully supported and $10 cheaper. There's no wrong choice, just the one that fits your situation.
What is the most popular Lush model overall?
Lovense doesn't publish sales figures. The Lush 4 is the one buyers and forums mention most, and the Lush Mini is the usual pick for comfort-first buyers.
Does the Lush 4 work with the Lovense Max 2?
Both run in Lovense Remote and can be controlled at the same time, but the two-way sync the Max 2 has with the Nora isn't available with the Lush 4.
