Site Updates & Editorial Log

Reviews aren't "set and forget." Lovense ships firmware updates, prices shift, and my own opinions sharpen the longer I live with a product. This page tracks what's changed, when, and why — so you can see this site stays current rather than going stale.

How I keep this current: every review carries a visible "Last updated" date (you'll see it at the top of each one), and I revisit the catalogue on a rolling basis — prioritizing reviews tied to products that have had firmware, app, or pricing changes, plus anything readers flag as outdated. Spotted something that needs a second look? Tell me and I'll check it.

Depth pass completed across all 31 reviews

Finished expanding the remaining 19 reviews with the same format as the earlier priority batch: a by-use-case breakdown (solo, partner, long-distance, repeat sessions), an honest "who should skip this" section with links to better-fit alternatives, category-specific setup tips, and a head-to-head against a non-Lovense competitor — plus two new FAQ entries per review. Every review on the site now carries this structure, and "Last updated" dates have been refreshed to reflect it.

Reviewer commentary pass across the full catalogue

Went back through every review and tightened the sections where I was leaning too hard on generic "here's what people say" framing. Replaced it with my own direct read on each product — what I'd actually tell a friend, and who I think each toy is and isn't for. If a review feels more opinionated than it used to, that's why — it's closer to how I actually talk about these things.

Published: Velvo review

Lovense's newest rabbit-style vibrator, added to the Couples & More lineup. Covered the flexible-arm design, how it compares to the Nora and Dolce, and where it fits if you've found fixed-arm rabbits don't quite line up.

Comparison guides updated for current pricing & stock

Refreshed the head-to-head guides (Edge 2 vs. Hush 2, Domi 2 vs. Gravity, Max 2 vs. Calor, and others) with current pricing references and tightened the "which one should you actually buy" sections based on the questions I keep seeing repeated.

Methodology page expanded — how I score, in detail

Added a fuller breakdown of the rating methodology to the How I Review page after a few readers asked why scores cluster in a tight range. Short answer: every score is calibrated against the rest of the Lovense catalogue, not the entire market — full explanation is on that page now.

Site relaunch with the full first-wave review set

Launched with reviews across G-spot vibrators, masturbators, prostate massagers, and couples' toys — the result of about two years of testing, research, and note-taking that started with one Domi 2 and a very inconvenient 15,000km.
